You can get fast and precise temperature readings either in touch mode, by placing the thermometer on the forehead, or by holding it in front of the forehead up to 2 in away in the no-touch mode. Silent mode is great for a sleeping baby. The unique on-screen positioning system confirms proper distance for taking temperature while the gentle guidance light directs you for accurate aiming. It has a large display with color coded fever guidance, and the backlight changes from green to yellow to red depending on the temperature reading.

FAQs

Question: How do I clean my thermometer?

Answer: Use an alcohol swab or cotton swab moistened with alcohol (70% Isopropyl) to clean the thermometer casing and the measuring probe. Ensure that no liquid enters the interior of the thermometer. Please wait 10 minutes after cleaning before taking a temperature measurement.

Question: What should I do if my thermometer is displaying an Err message?

Answer: This message displays when measured temperature is lower than 93.9 °F (34.4 °C) or higher than 108 °F (42.2 °C). Please make sure the protective cap is removed from the unit and Re-measure the temperature again. It will also display when the ambient temperature is outside the operating range of 59 °F-104 °F (15°C-40°C). Please allow the thermometer to remain in a room that is within this range for 30 minutes prior to using the unit.
